Taking Tiger Mountain By Strategy is a complex, surreal album that makes me feel like the not so cool kid in the room that can't understand what the cool kid in the room (Brian Eno) is talking about. Chinese Communism? Catholicism?A Roman Scandal?
While lots of people, myself included, enjoy analyzing the lyrics, in the end it's ok to just sit and nod your head because the music is so alluring and amazing that it won't matter. This is one of the first albums Jim and I really got over the top excited about together, listening relentlessly to the superb song “The Fat Lady Of Limbourg ” in our car while cruising the super elevated highways in Austin. Also, in my opinion, the best Eno album.
But what do you think?
