Leg Warmers for Tots

Babylegs are one of those things that I didn’t even know existed a short time ago and now can’t live without.

I mean, who knew that babies need leg warmers?

Pants legs ride up, most especially if you’re using a carrier and sock slip down, exposing their tiny calves to the cold.

Clearly the makers of Babylegs understood and came across this problem themselves because their cozy warmers are the perfect solution.

A great gift for parents in chilly climates.

Spend a Couple Minutes »SPF Baby Hat

from iPlay

I was so thrilled to find this sunhat from iPlay on Amazon. The summer sun can be dangerous, especially if your baby’s as super white as Van is. This wide brim hat made of 50 SPF fabric keeps him protected.

I’m not shocked that I’ve seen tons of little ones sporting the same one and have moms asking where I got mine. Most places offer nothing but flimsy hats with tiny brims that do little to block out the rays.

Plus, it’s adorable.

This is a summer must have!

Spend a Couple Minutes »Bright Socks at Uniqlo

546 Broadway

Take note bold men of fashion: Uniqlo is currently selling the most adorable bright, sometimes neon sock and I think you should get some. Four pairs for ten dollars, how can you resist? Especially since it’s always tough to add a touch of color to men’s outfits in a great way.

Spend a Couple Minutes »Wooden Ships’ Sally Hat

by Paola Buendia

If there’s one accessory you need for braving the summer outdoors in a heat wave, it’s a great big brimmed hat. I have had a few in my day but none better than the Sally hat by Wooden Ships that I picked up at some Outlet Mall years ago. It’s fashionable, offers lots of shade and most distinguishably can be squished up and thrown into beach bags and back seats with out fear of the brim or top losing its shape. The top is soft and the brim is wired and flexible. Their site has listings for local boutiques that carry their goods.

Spend a Couple Minutes »Bow Ties for Girls

bowtieGreat Accessory

I am truly obsessed with this girly striped bow tie I picked up at the increasingly impressive Japanese run thrift shop/gallery About Glamour. Two recent visits, several amazing purchases… but today we focus on the bow tie.

It’s not just for has-been pundits anymore. If you don’t believe me and my own fashion sense, I’ve compiled a collection of women (and a smattering of men) sporting the androgynous accessory.
