Jim and I stayed up in our cabin watching The Cat People, a terrifying story less about women who turn into cats that kill, more about the fear of marrying a woman who won't sleep with you. That woman is played by Simone Simon, and her vulnerable charm makes it easy to imagine risking your life and manhood for her. Cat People is probably the French (no, she's not really Serbian) actress' most famous role, although a whole new audience will be introduced to her due to a Criterion release of her native language film La B?te Humaine. It's certainly on my list of films to watch. It's a pity she didn't star in more, she's a gorgeous screen presence.
But what do you think?
