It's like this album was custom made to make me feel good and as the days are getting longer, I can't think of a more swinging duo I'd like to share my listening time with than these crazy kids.
The beauty of the album lies somewhere between Grand Ole Opry, Laugh In, Dusty Springfield, and a tamer version of Serge Gainsbourg and Brigitte Bardot. If any of those references turn you off, go elsewhere and leave this classic 60s pop sensation to us dreamers. Also, don't expect the Sinatra hit “These Boots Were Made For Walking“. It's not here, but the sultry “Some Velvet Morning”, the wistful “Summer Wine”, and the leisurely “You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling” will more than make up for that overplayed song.
Listen to them now before some kid in advertising gets wind of them and puts them in a deodorant ad.
But what do you think?
