  This video pretty much sums it up! I imagine this piece was the “major” local news story when it aired. I will have to find a clip of the “breaking news” story from a few years ago wherein a local man’s parakeet flew out his window. I am acquainted with one of the camera men who works for Channel 10 News who told me that he was once rushed to a construction site to get footage of a turtle who had taken up residence there.

  I was shown this video by a friend who thought it was hilarious, but it just gave me pause for thought…what Was that thing she saw?

  Her description made me think immediately of sea monsters on old maps, so I googled, “Real Sea Monsters,” and within a minute, realized she’d encountered an oarfish. Totally real! Exactly what she’d described!
