Kir Royale One part Creme de Cassis (which is a blackcurrant liqueur), and five parts champagne. It's named after F?lix Kir, a former mayor of Dijon, in Burgundy, whose other claim to fame was as a priest helping to lead the French Resistance. Which is almost as important as developing an alcoholic beverage.
