If you end up in the pit of Times Square and let's face it, we all do through no fault of our own at some time on a weekend night, this is the oasis of non-touristy peace and quiet. Anywhere else in the city and this would be any old dive not worth a mention, but due the lack of competition for a decent place where you can hear a conversation, look at photos of Muhammed Ali on the wall, listen to great classic r&b on the juke box and not be packed in like sardines, Jimmy's is a real winner.
The waitresses clothed in way too short skirts supply pleasant enough table service, tip nice so they can buy more comfortable outfits. This place was awarded NY Mag's best dive bar for 2005.
