margarita on the rocksThanks to Shaun and his heavy cocktail making hand, I will never appreciate a frozen margarita as much as a good version on the rocks.

He used a Triple Sec substitute and it was a knock out, not only because it tastes delicious, but it literally knocked me out. The following weekend we spent our post big apple BBQ afternoon with my own version using Grand Marnier, and when that ran out we used Patr?n Citr?nge. Both were fab.

Basically, this is a good drink no matter what orange liqueur you use and it beats the pants off the overly sweet, canned frozen option any day. It takes like summer… very, very boozy summer. But beware of crappy restaurant versions that use the overly sweet pre-mixed margarita garbage.
