There are a few locations of Ruben's Empanadas, a modest local chain that's been serving affordable, portable goodies since 1975. I only recently had the opportunity to eat there and I wish I'd made the trip sooner. The food is great and there's one treat in particular worth getting really excited about?br/>
Guava and Cheese empanadas! That's right, and they're just as good as you can imagine. Slightly smaller than the savory pastries, this buttery crusty shell and it's guava paste insides had me smiling. (By the way, my camera died while taking a photo, so the one to the left is a chicken empanda–but you get the idea).?
