I have been turned off to most true crime shows ever since showing young children's corpses was considered OK. (I am talking to you American Justice). But City Confidential is a different kind of crime show, focusing on the town and the people involved with a tongue in cheek noir-ish narrator (Paul Winfield R.I.P). City makes the stories alive and interesting with such small details like the fact that a man almost got caught hiding in the basement of his mistresses house because he was nervous and had to smoke AND that he was wearing a Phantom of the Opera t-shirt when he tried to kill her husband. I highly highly recommend this show. Here is an article that may convince you further.
But what do you think?
