Queen - A Night at the OperaSo, “Bohemian Rhapsody” grew old about as quickly as the phrase “shawingg!”, but after getting psyched about a few Queen songs (especially “Fat Bottom Girls“) over the years, I finally learned what so many people (you know, people that didn't find out about Queen from Mike Myers and Dana Carvey) already knew.

Queen has a lot to offer and while always over the top and dramatic (and we all know I have a huge soft spot for drama), their music is more complex and varied than I expected. This album is probably their most ludicrous and playful and I have been delighting in rocking out to it with abandon. “The Prophet's Song” has particularly deepened the endearment I feel for Freddy Mercury and co.
