Nearly every boy I know learned how to draw by filling sketch books with Iron Maiden's Eddie, but there is more to this band than the emblematic undead badass. Run to the Hills for example, from their classic album The Number of the Beast, which is about the slaughter of Native Americans.
Oh yes, Iron Maiden has more to say with their music than most metal bands, touching on subjects like war and religion and using such varied source materials as Frank Herbert's Dune (which he was not thrilled about), The Prisoner (which Patrick McGoohan was thrilled about), and Heart of Darkness.
But what do you think?
