Hippies got a lot of things right, and the fact that Patchouli's pungent oil covers the smell of the wacky tobaky is one. But the fact that it is strong enough to cover the smell of the sweet dank makes it so wrong to use in any other form or fashion, time or place.
I'd rather smell the cheese burn from a local vendors cart all day long than the incense from the next door earring/cellphone/purse vendors stick for a passing moment. And, just a forewarning, if you break out the patchouli jah sticks at a party that I am attending, I will judge you!
