Continuing my recent obsession with Gram Parsons (see song of the week) – I pick the mad man father of country rock as my style icon. He influenced everyone he met, including the Rolling Stones and the Byrds. He lived life fast – his drug abuse was too much for even Keith Richards – and, sadly, died young (with a strange journey after his death as well). His impact on the world of music lives on.
